IPL: Chennai set 180-run target for Bangalore

PORT ELIZABETH: Chennai Super Kings scored 179 runs for 5 wickets in the 5th match of IPL's second edition against Bangalore Royal Challengers on Monday.

Bangalore Royal Challengers need to achieve a target of 180 runs to win the match.

Matthew Hayden and Parthiv Patel of Chennai Super Kings gave an outstanding opening with their 106-run partnership. Hayden and Patel scored 65 and 30 runs respectively.

The rest of the Chennai batsmen put more runs on the scoreboard. Chennai made a total score of 179 runs for 5 wickets in 20 overs.

Vinay Kumar of Bangalore Royal Challengers took 2 wickets while Dale Steyn Kevin Pietersen (c) claimed one wicket each.
